Several Ukrainian ex-MPs left Ukraine for UAE after Russian invasion, investigation shows

According to the journalists, these former MPs are Natalia Korolevska, Vadym Stolar and Suto Mamoian.

Journalists noted that these individuals have expressed that they feel “protected” in Dubai, because while financial monitoring is in place in the European Union, “under the palm trees of the UAE, no one asks where the money comes from.”

Mamoian was spotted in the world’s largest shopping center, Dubai Mall, on Jan. 7.

According to sources in business circles, he flew to Dubai for talks with representatives of a “big bookmaker company,” for which he is “trying to solve problems,” becoming “an intermediary between the authorities and the owners.”

In turn, Stolar was spotted in the Russian restaurant “Suvoroff.”

“According to the Ukrainska Pravda’s sources in diplomatic circles, the Ukrainian lawmaker even obtained a driver’s license in the UAE,” the re-port says.

“Only residents are eligible for this, so he’s going to live in the Persian Gulf.”

Stolar is currently in Ukraine, but, sources say that he is trying to leave again and “is negotiating with the authorities to get permission to leave the country.”

As for Korolevska, she lives with her family at the Address Beach Resort hotel in Dubai, according to the investigation.

“On Oct. 17, Korolevska and her husband, Yuriy Solod, were spotted in the office of Dubai’s largest developer, Emaar,” Ukrainska Pravda said.

“Ukrainska Pravda’s sources among the developers inform that the family had purchased real estate for more than $10 million. According to sources in Ukrainian intelligence, Korolevska was among those whom Viktor Medvedchuk (former pro-Kremlin head of OPZZh) advised staying in Ukraine and waiting for the occupation to immediately seize power.”
