Severe thunderstorm warning issued for middle Tennessee
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several areas in middle Tennessee, effective through 2 p.m.
Straight-line winds of up to 60 MPH, and up to penny-sized hail is possible.
Areas impacted include: Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, College Grove, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Springfield, White House, Portland, Mount Juliet, and Lebanon.

A warning was in effect until 1 p.m. for: Clarksville, Oakwood, Saint Bethlehem, Adams, Waverly, McEwen, Bold Spring, Lobelville, Linden, Dickson, White Bluff, Bon Aqua, Nunelly, Fairview, Clifton, Flat Woods, and Waynesboro.

Most counties in middle, southeast Tennessee and northern Alabama are under severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. on Saturday, with isolated hail up to ping-pong sized possible, wind gusts of up to 70 MPH and frequent lightning.
