Flash flood warning in effect for parts of Massachusetts

A Flash Flood warning has been issued for parts of Massachusetts on Tuesday afternoon.

The warning is in effect for Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Hampden counties until 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Flash Flood Warning includes Boston, Cambridge, and Quincy.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been taken down for parts of Massachusetts on Tuesday evening.

The warning was in effect for Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Worcester counties until 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Framingham, Waltham, Brookline, Arlington, Billerica, Marlborough, Woburn, Shrewsbury, Natick, Watertown, Lexington, Needham, Wellesley, Belmont, Dedham, Burlington, and Acton.

Strong wind, heavy rain, lighting, and wind damage are possible in these areas.
