Severe Thunderstorm Watches issued for much of northern Georgia

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Barrow, East central Gwinnett, Banks, Hall, and Jackson counties until 7:45 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has also been issued for Franklin, Stephens, Habersham, and Hart counties until 8:45 p.m.

Cities impacted in that warning include: Toccoa, Hartwell, Clarkesville, Carnesville, Cornelia, Baldwin, Royston, Reed Creek, Lavonia and Gumlog.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues for Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Lumpkin, Pickens, Carroll, Paulding, Coweta, Heard, and Troup counties until 9 p.m.

Impacted areas include: Gainesville, Winder, Jefferson, Commerce, Homer, Braselton, Auburn, Lula, Statham, Maysville, Arcade, Nicholson, Hoschton, Clermont, Bethlehem, Pendergrass, Carl, Gillsville, Talmo and Candler.
