Severe thunderstorms started raining down earlier in the afternoon. A severe thunderstorm warning was in place through 5:15 p.m. and a thunderstorm watch will be in place through 8 p.m.

The National Weather service warned of hail ranging from the size of a quarter to an inch in diameter, funnel clouds and other extreme weather.
