LATEST: Strong storms lead to power outages across Western Pennsylvania

Localized flooding will continue overnight as a line of strong storms moves through. Strong wind gusts may also bring isolated wind damage, but the storm threat will end before sunrise.

Areas of fog will form early Friday and could reduce visibility in many areas. Check the live Severe Weather Team 11 forecast before you head out for the latest updates on how fog will impact your morning commute.

A stray shower is still possible Friday, but most areas will stay dry. Less humid, more comfortable weather moves in for the weekend.

Duquesne Light reports 831 customers are impacted by 36 outages.

11:05 p.m.: A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for parts of Allegheny, Fayette, Washington, Westmoreland and Indiana counties until 2:15 a.m.

11 p.m.: The National Weather Service is reporting flooding on State Road 51 in Beaver County. One storm report indicates there is 1.5 feet of water on the road near Conway. Another indicates the road is closed in South Heights because of flooding.

10:45 p.m.: Here are the power outages reported by First Energy:

Armstrong County: 72

Beaver County: 138

Butler County: 127

Lawrence County: 86

Mercer County: 496

Venango County: 304

Washington County: 67

Westmoreland County: 189

Duquesne Light reports 584 customers are impacted by outages.

10:30 p.m.: A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for all of Allegheny County, including Pittsburgh, until 1:30 a.m.

The warning is also in effect for parts of Washington, Westmoreland, Armstrong, Butler, Indiana and Beaver counties.

10:20 p.m.: All SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS in the region have expired.

10:15 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been canceled for Butler, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties. The watch remains in effect for the rest of western Pennsylvania until 3 a.m.

9:45 p.m.: Both First Energy and Duqene Light are now reporting power outages.

Here are the outages reported by Duquesne Light:

West Mayfield (Northern Beaver County): 252

9:40 p.m.: A Channel 11 reporter spots lightning as storms move toward Cranberry. In addition to lightning, the storm brings strong wind gusts and the threat of flooding rain.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for parts of Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence counties until 12:45 a.m.

NWS tweeted that the damaging wind threat is diminishing, but the flooding risk is increasing in some areas as storms slow down.

9:35 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for parts of Indiana County until 10:15 p.m

9:30 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for parts of Westmoreland County until 10:15 p.m

9:10 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for parts of Allegheny County, including Pittsburgh, until 10:15 p.m.

9:10 p.m.: A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.

9 p.m.: First Energy reports 524 customers remain without power in Mercer County and 259 in Venango County.

8:50 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for part of Beaver County until 9:45 p.m.

8:45 p.m.: A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for parts of Mercer and Venango counties until 11:15 p.m.

8:30 p.m.: A TORNADO WARNING in Mercer and Venango counties has expired.

8:27 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for Armstrong and Indiana counties until 9:15 p.m. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS for Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties were also extended until 9:15 p.m.

8:15 p.m.: First Energy reports power outages in Mercer and Venango counties. There are 483 customers impacted in Mercer and 141 in Venango.

Duquesne Light had not reported any outages as of 8:15 p.m.

8:05 p.m.: A TORNADO WARNING is in effect for part of Mercer and Venango counties until 8:30 p.m.

7:54 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for part of Armstrong County.

7:44 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for part of Clarion and Butler counties.

7:40 p.m.: Strong storms approach Beaver, West Liberty and Zelienople.

6:56 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for Butler, Mercer and Lawrence counties.

6:20 p.m.: A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect for all of Western Pennsylvania until 3 a.m.

Storms are expected to develop around sunset and continue into early Friday morning.
