‘That was a sh--show,’ CNN’s Dana Bash says of Trump vs. Biden debate

CNN host Dana Bash cut straight to the point after Tuesday’s debate between President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden finally ended after 90 minutes of chaos.

“That was a sh-- show,” Bash summarized. “And, you know, we’re on cable. We can say that. Apologies for being, maybe a little bit crude, but that is really the phrase I’m getting from people on both sides of the aisle on text and it’s the only phrase I can think of to really describe it."

The entire CNN post-debate panel blasted the debacle overall, blaming moderator Chris Wallace — who works for rival network Fox News — of failing to control his show.

Wallace on several occasions asked both candidates to stop interrupting one another and suggested at one point he and Trump should switch seats if the president wants to be a TV host.

CNN’s flabbergasted pundit Van Jones expressed his astonishment after the debate that Trump somewhat got away with declining to denounce the white supremacist groups that support him.

Veteran CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer wondered aloud if there was any point going forward with the two remaining debates the candidates have scheduled next month.

Host Jake Tapper didn’t think much of the debate either.

“That was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck,” he said. “That was the worst debate I have ever seen. In fact, it wasn’t even a debate.”
