Shady Spring High School football player signs at Glenville State University
SHADY SPRING, WV (WVNS) — Shady Spring High School participated in National Signing Day 2024 as a senior football standout committed to Glenville State University.
Gavin Davis signed on the dotted line at Shady Spring High School on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, to continue his playing career as a linebacker for the Glenville State Pioneers.

Davis told 59News he only started playing football four years ago in 8th grade. He says ever since then, it has been his favorite sport. That is why Davis said when Glenville State University gave him this opportunity, he could not pass it up.
“The academics and really just them offering me to play the sport that I love. I’ve always dreamed of playing college football and as soon as they offered it up to me, I couldn’t turn it down,” said Davis.

Davis said he hopes to study Forensics or Criminal Justice at Glenville State University.
