Shaquille O’Neal Lists Los Angeles–Area Home for $2.5 Million

Shaquille O’Neal seems to have changed his mind about his relatively recently purchased Los Angeles mansion. The retired NBA all-star (also known as "Shaq") has listed his 1990s Tudor-style home for $2.5 million, Mansion Global reports, just over a year and a half after he first purchased it for $1.815 million.

The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home is located in the gated Bell Canyon community in the Simi Hills, and spans 5,217 square feet. The exterior is made of faux-timbered stucco, with a turreted entryway. Inside is a double-height black-and-white marble foyer that opens into an open floor plan, which includes a formal living room with a vaulted ceiling and a modern fireplace.

The marble kitchen boasts gleaming white counters, cabinets, and drawers, with top-of-the-line stainless-steel appliances and a unique light fixture. A family room located right off the kitchen features another modern fireplace, this one with a massive marble mantel. Elsewhere on the ground floor is a separate media lounge with its own wet bar and drop-down movie screen. The formal dining room sits at the other end of the kitchen.

Up a flight of black-railing-lined stairs, the second floor features three guest bedrooms. One has an en suite bathroom, while the two others share a hall bathroom with a jetted bathtub. The master suite, painted gray, has a fireplace, a sitting area, two walk-in closets, and an impressive master bathroom with a double-sink vanity, a two-person glass-enclosed shower, and a jetted tub next to a wall of Tudor-style windows.

The home also offers a wine room, a home office, and a backyard made for entertaining, with a built-in barbecue and dining terrace, a built-in firepit with curved stone benches, and a lagoon-style swimming pool and spa.

Along with his Bell Canyon home, O’Neal also owns a palatial Mediterranean-style megamansion in Windermere, Florida, which he recently listed for $21.99 million. The sprawling 23,000-square-foot home features 12 bedrooms and 11 full and four half bathrooms, and includes a regulation-size 6,000-square-foot basketball court.
