Shark in Shallow Water Sparks Excitement on Sydney Beach
A shark sparked a flurry of excitement as it swam through shallow waters along a beach in the Sydney suburb of La Perouse on April 4.
Beachgoers rushed over to get a closer look, some wading into the water up to their ankles, other taking their phones out to try capture video of the shark.
“Lets go drag him by the tail,” one person is heard saying.
Shefali Sungker, who shot this footage, told Storyful the “the shark seemed to be in distress,” which prompted police to direct the crowd away from the water so the shark could be examined. Credit: Shefali Sungker via Storyful
