Moss is one of 100 people selected nationwide for the six-month virtual program that “supports and connects emerging leaders” in the United States and worldwide, according to a city news release.

“Moss was selected to join the program for her work in community engagement and collaboration," the city news release said. "She brings people with like-minded missions together to provide programming that is educational, engaging, and empowering for the entire community.”

Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Obama Foundation, said Obama Leaders “are already making a difference in their communities and are ready to take their work to the next level. They embody the values of President and Mrs. Obama, and their work will create positive change in communities across the country.”

Moss, who grew up in Indianapolis, received a B.S. in biology at IU in 2013. Besides her city work she’s a board member of three local organizations: New Hope for Families, IU Credit Union, and Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County.
