Shawn Mendes is dropping new music. More importantly, is he still with Camila Cabello?

Shawn Mendes has been busy during lockdown.

The pop star has been spending time creating music, and announced he’s coming out with a new album, set to drop Dec. 4.

Mendes will release the first single (and video, yay!) for “Wonder,” on Friday.

Fans can watch a teaser as well as check out an interactive website to get you all amped up.

“It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song,” he wrote on Instagram. “I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been. It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time.”

Hmmm, no mention of his prettier half/quaranteam mate Camila Cabello. Sorry, we buried the lead.

His famous girlfriend has been in England, shooting “Cinderella.”

We get it. Careers are important. But what gives with these two? They were practically inseparable during the height of the pandemic, hunkering down in Miami, giving out Cuban sandwiches to healthcare workers and attending a protest after the death of George Floyd.

On his Instagram, Mendes hasn’t a posted a pic of his lady love in almost a year, but that could be a guy thing. Her last pic of them in the same room was back in May.

Attentive watchers of this famous couple are of course throwing down the rumor that they have split, and we sure hope not. That Miami angle is so key, plus they are adorable together.

“The [original plan] was that Camila would go back to Los Angeles with [Shawn] but they decided they needed to take a break from each other,” an insider told In Touch Weekly in August. “Despite their busy careers, they’ve spent much of the past year together. They were in love and were best friends — they still are [...] The past year was a whirlwind for them and they supported each other so much. Nothing really went bad between them, they just realized they need some time apart.”

Don’t cue the crying just yet.

On her Insta on Wednesday, CC wrote of her “Senorita” collaborator: “The world could use some magic, beauty, and Wonder always, but especially right now. @shawnmendes what a gorgeous gift to the world. He’s crafted this album with every last bit of his soul, his spirit, and his essence with the purest of intentions.”

Heart emoji, too. A red heart.

The former Fifth Harmony member called Mendes an affectionate, gf like term, so stay calm.

“My love, I’m so proud of the person you are and I’m so excited for people to see and hear your heart.”

Let’s hope/pray in this case absence makes the heart grow even fonder.
