Shayna Hubers sentenced to life in prison for 2012 murder of boyfriend Ryan Poston

A judge followed the jury’s recommendation Thursday afternoon and sentenced 27-year-old Shayna Hubers to life in prison for shooting her boyfriend, Ryan Poston, to death in 2012. In final comments, Hubers’ defense asked Judge Daniel Zella for a sentence of 20 years, saying Hubers could be rehabilitated and become a productive member of society. But the Commonwealth asked for life, calling Hubers' firing six shots into Poston "an execution."
