'What she was born to do': Grandmother describes poet laureate’s performance at inauguration

Americans heard a powerful poem at Wednesday’s Inauguration ceremony that was written and performed by a young woman from Los Angeles. Amanda Gorman, 22, was the youngest, by far, of the poets who have read at presidential inaugurations, and she managed to capture a moment of both division and determination.
