She said yes! Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader surprised with proposal at Kentucky Oaks

It's not hyperbole to say Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader Justine Templin will likely remember the 2022 Kentucky Oaks for the rest of her life.

Months after she stood on the sideline of SoFi Stadium cheering on Joe Burrow and company in the Super Bowl, Templin and her boyfriend, Jack Kerby, visited Louisville's Churchill Downs to take in the 148th running of the Oaks. Little did Templin know that Kerby had much bigger plans for this trip than to wager on fillies. He planned to ask her to marry him.

Judging by the ring on Templin's finger and the caption of her Instagram post, the paddock proposal was a success.

"The easiest 'YES' of my life," Templin wrote on Instagram, throwing in a heart emoji for good measure. "I love you so much, Jack and can’t wait to spend forever with you."

According to Templin's bio on the Bengals' official website, the Xavier University graduate is in her fifth year of cheerleading for Cincinnati's NFL team.

WDRB News spoke with Kerby, who is a Louisville native, moments after he popped the question.

"I figured, you know, we’re all dressed up, it’s a great occasion, our families are all here together, it’d be the perfect time to do it," Kerby told the TV station.

"Very surprised but so excited," Templin added.
