Who are Sheboygan County's 2022 People of the Year? Share your nomination with us.

SHEBOYGAN - The Sheboygan Press will again recognize the people who have made a difference in our community in the past year with our annual People of the Year list.

Here's how you can help us decide who should be on the list.

How to nominate someone

Email a name and a paragraph or two explaining the nomination to Sheboygan Press Editor Brandon Reid at breid@gannett.com.

You can also call 920-686-2984 and leave a voicemail message explaining your nomination.

Nominations are due by noon Dec. 1.

Ground rules

People of the Year can be any of the people who made an impact in our area in 2022.

Nominees may be people whose contributions are well known, or they may be people whose work has been mostly unheralded or behind the scenes.

Think impact

When thinking about People of the Year, “impact” can be defined in a lot of ways — and we welcome many interpretations of what it means to make a difference.

The best candidates will likely be those whose efforts made specific, concrete changes in the area or who otherwise reached a lot of people.

These aren’t lifetime achievement awards. The impact we’re looking for must have happened in this calendar year, 2022.

How we'll determine the list

We’ll take readers’ submissions, add some of our own, and we’ll narrow the list down to our finalists, which we’ll publish in the last week of the year.
