Based in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the family-owned chain runs over 700 locations across six states. Bob Sheetz started the company in 1952, buying one of his father's dairy stores and opening two more in the 1960s before expanding regionally.

The company previously announced the opening of its first Michigan location at 33380 Wick Road in Romulus, currently set to open by year-end.

Sheetz has yet to announce opening dates for the two other new metro Detroit locations.
