Sheetz: New Concord location to open on Thursday

NEW CONCORD — Sheetz will have a grand opening for a new store at 9 a.m. Thursday at 701 Friendship Drive, New Concord. The official ribbon-cutting is at 10:45 a.m.

Multiple prizes will be awarded throughout the day, including a grand prize of free Sheetz for a year. There will be free coffee and soda.

The new store will include seven lanes offering high flow diesel fuel and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) for semi-trucks, along with 14 fuel terminals for other vehicles. The store will also feature 29 free parking spaces, available for overnight parking to truckers. This new location, which will be Sheetz’s 38th store to offer truck diesel fuel lanes, can be easily accessed by truck drivers from Interstate-70, exit 169.

In honor of the opening, the restaurant and convenience store chain will donate $2,500 to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, a non-profit which provides more than 170,000 meals each day for hungry people in central and eastern Ohio. Customers attending the grand opening are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to the agency. Those who donate will receive a Sheetz branded thermal bag, while supplies last from 9 to 11 a.m.

A second donation of $2,500 will be presented to the Special Olympics of Ohio. A supporter of the Special Olympics for more than 30 years, Sheetz also extends its support to the organization through product donations and event volunteers.

Sheetz recently celebrated the opening of its 700th store location. The company operates more than 700 store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland with all locations open around the clock everyday.
