Century has seen an influx of state investment in recent years, with roughly $14 million in grants and legislative appropriations heading to the city for projects such as repairs and improvements to the Century Wastewater Treatment Plant and the town's sewage infrastructure, as well as funding to rehabilitate two local gathering places, the Carver Community Center and the town of Century Community Center.

Freedom Bridge Road has been closed for approximately three years due to age and structural concerns. The city is seeking funding to repair it.

The swearing in ceremony for the town council members will be 6 p.m. April 6 at Century Town Hall.
