RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) — The Russell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident on Thursday at Russell County Middle School, Sheriff Heath Taylor tells WRBL.

The investigation is ongoing and Taylor anticipates as many as two juvenile arrests. Identities of the juveniles arrested will not be revealed as they go into the Alabama Juvenile Justice System.

The incident involved gummies that caused up to four students to be medically checked out. The department is limited in what they can say about the incident because all involved are juveniles.
