SHERIFF: Two arrested with marijuana, ecstasy, AR-15 near Marshall daycare

MARSHALL, Texas (KETK) – Two people were arrested for possession of marijuana and ecstasy after a narcotics search warrant was executed in Marshall on Friday.

At 1203 Elsie Street, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said investigators found around 8.75 pounds of marijuana and 14 grams of ecstasy, an AR-15 rifle with a 50-drum magazine, two handguns and $1,800 in cash.

Officials said Marsha Sheane White, 42, and Tyrique Stephenson, 21, were found at the Elsie Street property and detained. White and Stephenson were taken to the Harrison County Jail, and charged with possession of marijuana between five and 50 pounds, possession of a controlled substance between four and 200 grams.

Officials said the property was within 1000 feet of a daycare causing their charges to include drug free zone violations.

The Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, Marshall Police Department Special Response Team and Harrison County’s Emergency Response Team executed this search warrant and another search warrant on Friday.

Harrison County Sheriff Brandon J. Fletcher said he’s “pleased with the continuing coordinated effort of the Marshall Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office to put drug dealers and violent criminals behind bars.”
