Sheriff's Office: 19-year-old woman arrested for 'participatory role' in Socorro murder

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced they arrested a second suspect they believe is connected to the murder of of Azul Ruiz.

On May 24, sheriff's deputies arrested 19-year old Daisy Rodriquez on murder charges, who, detectives say, "had a participating role."

Rodriquez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $1,250,000 bond.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives arrested 19-year-old Carlos Alberto Sifuentes on Feb. 13 and he was charged with murder.

Ruiz was 44 years old when she was shot and killed inside her home on the 200 block of Isabel in Socorro, Texas, a sheriff's news release stated.
