Sheriff's Office: Man tried to rob Craigsville IGA

CRAIGSVILLE — The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Craigsville IGA on Saturday evening, a press release said.

Deputies responded to the store shortly after 8 p.m.

The sheriff's office said an unidentified man went into the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from a cashier. The man fled the store on foot without any cash, a press release said.

The suspect was wearing black pants, a black jacket, a black and white mask, and a black and yellow toboggan.
