How to shift in the Tesla Model S Plaid
The Tesla Model S Plaid has one odd “shifter.” Here’s how it works.

- Hey, guys. We're here in the Tesla Model S Plaid. And I'm sure you guys are wondering how you shift this thing.
Obviously, there is no handle or button to press. That's obvious. But when you press the brake, your little sidebar shows up over here. So you can push it forward to go into drive, which we're in right now.
You can pull it backwards to go into reverse. Your backup camera comes on just so you can watch or go into drive. Forward, tap to park. So that puts it in park.
And then way on the bottom, you can hold this to go into neutral. So you're going into a car wash or something like that, and you need neutral, that's how you get it. So yeah, it's all digital on the touchscreen right here to control your shifter. It'll definitely take some getting used to. But it's working well so far.
