Shooting prank call prompts investigation at Ponchatoula High School
PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating after someone made a prank call about a shooting on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards said someone made a 911 call around 9 a.m., reporting a shooting on the campus of Ponchatoula High School.
Nitrogen gas among new execution methods that may be used in Louisiana
Deputies later confirmed with the school’s resource officer, who was on campus at the time of the call, that there was no shooting.
TPSO deputies are working to trace where the call came from.
