Shop local bonus is back in Atascadero. Here’s how you can get a gift card

Shoppers supporting Atascadero businesses in the next two months can receive gift cards to a local business for their spending.

The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce is launching its third annual Shop Local Bonus Program, where shoppers can be rewarded with a $20 gift card from the chamber for every $100 spent at local businesses, according to a news release from the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce.

Gift cards are from a local participating Chamber of Commerce business in Atascadero, according to the chamber’s website. Gift cards from participating businesses may run out.

The program kicks off Feb. 1 and concludes March 31. Each household can earn a maximum of two gift cards for the duration of the program, the release said.

“We have a business community that is incredibly supportive of the chamber and the folks in our community! Last year the Shop Local Bonus Program infused about $30,000 into our local economy, and this year we hope to exceed that amount,” Atascadero chamber president and CEO Josh Cross said in the release. “Now is your chance to give back and be rewarded with a $20 gift card.”

Eligible businesses include local retailers, restaurants and other food and beverage businesses in Atascadero. Purchases at grocery stores, gas stations and big-box stores are excluded, the release said.

Shoppers participating in the program must save their receipts for purchases at eligible businesses during the months of February and March. Receipts must be itemized and legible and include the date, name of business and full total.

Receipts can be redeemed at the chamber office at 6907 El Camino Real, Suite A, or online at www.atascaderochamber.org/shop-local-bonus.
