Shop Local: Tanger Outlets Palm Beach feature brand-name stores, plenty of places to dine

WEST PALM BEACH — Walk, don't run. That's what the open-air Tanger Outlets Palm Beach was built for. The shopping venue's lengthy, airy corridors were built for moving thousands of shoppers from storefront-to-storefront with ease.

Tanger Outlets, which opened in 2014 as the Palm Beach Outlets on the site of the former storied Palm Beach Mall along Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard near Interstate 95, was rebranded as Tanger Outlets Palm Beach and is the only Tanger site south of Orlando.

The more than 120 stores span categories from clothing apparel and accessories to home goods and footwear.

The walkable mall features national brands from Adidas to Brooks Brothers to Johnston & Murphy to Victoria's Secret. But shoppers will also find small businesses such as sneaker store, Laced, women’s boutique, Envy, and the Beef Jerky Outlet.

Tanger Outlets: Weekday mornings best time to avoid crowds

For the best time to shop, go in the morning to avoid big crowds. On Black Friday weekend, store hours will run from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. The best doorbuster deals will be on Black Friday from 6 a.m.-noon.

Holiday shopping hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday; 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve. The venue is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Tanger Outlets: Plenty of free parking outside the stores

Parking at Tanger Outlets is free in its sprawling parking lot, as is parking at the adjacent Marketplace at the Outlets, with 19 additional "big box" stores. Three main entrances are on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, and one is on Congress Avenue.

Tanger Outlets: If I'm hungry, where can I eat after I shop, or while shopping?

Patrons will find BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, TooJay’s Gourmet Deli, First Watch and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers on out-parcels that are within walking distance of the stores.

Shoppers looking to stay within the mall area, can go to the food court that offers a variety of fast-food like Tobu Oriental Eatery, Souvlaki Fast and The Madres Mexican Fresh. Holy Moly Coffee and other kiosks are throughout the outdoor mall.

Tanger Outlets: Amenities for shoppers and kids this season?

Shoppers can discover Tanger Club designated VIP Parking; EV and Tesla charging stations; a foreign currency exchange; ATMs; and even wheelchairs. For a little rest and pampering, there's the Tanger Virtual Concierge, a virtual customer service texting platform; and shaded areas and benches. Tanger Outlets is a smoke-free environment.

Tanger Outlets: What's the most Instagram-able/TikTok-able spot?

The Holiday Tree, at the main entrance between the Nike and Tommy Hilfiger stores, and the Holiday Photo Spot, near Columbia and Polo Ralph Lauren, are the best spots for those perfect photos and videos.

Tanger Outlets: Are there holiday events planned?

Santa Claus’s Holiday Celebration is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Dec. 9. Shoppers can enjoy selfies with old St. Nick, a holiday craft station, live music, sweet treats, snowfalls, giveaways and more. The event will take place between the Columbia and Forever 21 stores.

From 8 a.m.-noon on Dec. 3, a special Cars & Coffee event will include a toy drive for The Children’s Healing Institute.
