In a nutshell, Milan Fashion Week took a simple stance on beauty. The primary hairstyles of choice consisted of the slicked-back bun and pin-straight hair, but the makeup looks offered more variety. From the heavily-lined eyes at Etro to the pastel-tonal eyelashes at Prada, Milan's beauty looks offered makeup inspiration that you may want to try this year.

1. Colorful eyelashes at Prada

Prada took a minimalistic approach to makeup—except when it came to the lashes. Models wore a medley of pastel colors, such as pink, light blue and yellow. We're assuming the models wore pairs of false eyelashes, but to create a similar look, consider trying a tinted mascara. To pull inspiration from Gigi Hadid's pink lashes, reach for a warm-toned mascara, such as the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overscurl Mascara in "664 Brique" (brick red). The formula also promises to deliver "spectacular curl and volume."

Meanwhile, if you're aiming to achieve Kendall Jenner's blue-tinted lashes, we recommend going with the Reviewed-approved Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara in "Nola" (deep blue). 2. "No-makeup makeup" at Tod's

Tod's seemed to call for fresh, bare faces at its fall/winter 2023 runway show. To recreate the look at home, we recommend starting with a rich moisturizer to give skin a radiant glow and prepare it for makeup. We like the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Moisturizer, a thick, cream-based formula that Earley says made her skin go " from dry and rough to ultra-smooth."

Once your skin has been prepped, use a hydrating tinted moisturizer, such as the Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil. It aims to provide "sheer-to-medium coverage with a semi-matte finish" to give the skin a natural glow. The base product is available in seven shades, ranging from "Porcelain" (light) to "Medium Deep" (dark).

Bright layers of pink and coral blush veiled the high points of the models' cheeks at the Armani runway show. To create a similar opaque flush, start with a liquid formula, like the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, which purports to give "a soft, healthy flush." It comes in both matte and dewy finishes and is available in 11 shades.

To ensure that your blush stays put, layer the liquid formula with a dusting of powder. Try the Too Faced Cloud Crush Blurring Blush, which claims to create "an airy, diffused" finish. Its shade portfolio spans six hues.

4. Smoky eyes at Etro

Eyes were lined to the max with what appears to be black eyeliner at Etro. If you're looking to replicate this dramatic look, use a gel-based eyeliner pencil that can glide over the contours of your eyes, such as the M.A.C. Cosmetics Colour Excess Gel Pencil Eyeliner in "Glide or Die" (carbon black). I took a particular liking to the formula's long-lasting capabilities, noting in my review that the liner didn't even fully come off when I took a shower.
