Shore Conference lacrosse: Week 5 scoreboard, recaps, schedule

The 2022 boys and girls Shore Conference lacrosse season continues Monday, April 25 to Saturday, April 30.

Here is the schedule for the fifth week for boys and girls lacrosse teams that compete in the Shore Conference.

*Schedules are always weather and COVID-19 shutdown permitting.*

Boys Lacrosse

Howell 12, Old Bridge 11 (OT)

Glenn Giordano went 10-for-22 on faceoffs but won the most important faceoff, the one that started overtime, and the Rebels (11-3) eventually got the ball to Doug MacKenzie, who scored the game-winning goal in the extra session. MacKenzie finished with one goal and one assist, Tyler Burn led the offense with three goals and two assists and Vincent Burns added two goals and three assists. Jack Marich and Nate Lorenzo each added two goals and Colin Fay made 11 saves.

Shore 19, St. John Vianney 1

The No. 6 Blue Devils (7-2) cruised past the Lancers (4-7) as Carson Cooke responded with four goals and two assists and Jamie Mazzacco finished with three goals, including the 100th goal of his career. In addition, Lucas White, Aidan Murphy and Tucker Malfa finished with two goals each. Andrew Decker, Ryan Turner, Brady Cooke, Carson Spallone and Sam Madalone each had a goal and Sam Madalone added three assists, which including the 100th point of his career. Walker Hunter had six saves for the Blue Devils while Noah Karaban had two saves.

Neptune 13, Long Branch 4

Neptune (1-10): Michael Loff 5g, 1a, Brendan Mansfield 3g, 2a, Ryan Podlaski 1g, Andrew Reynolds 2g, 1a, Jordy Garcia Villegas 1a, Myles McGovern 2a, Ryan Petrillo (6 saves).

Long Branch (0-10): Long Branch's sophomore goalie Luis Rojas had 15 saves. Senior Ka'Von Williams had six faceoff wins. Senior captain Flavio Marques scored a goal. Senior captain Jacob Juliano scored his first hat trick of his career.
