Shoreview man dies four days after two-vehicle crash in Arden Hills

Jan. 10—A 51-year-old Shoreview man who had been hospitalized with injuries for four days after a Jan. 4 crash in Lino Lakes has died.

Jeffrey Scott Kuchar died Saturday of complications of multiple blunt force injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, the county coroner's office said Monday.

Kuchar's vehicle was struck by another motorist's vehicle at 125th and Sunset avenues shortly before 7 a.m., according to the coroner's office. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash, Lino Lakes police said Monday. The other driver, identified by police as 22-year-old Riley Nelson of Lino Lakes, was not hospitalized.

Police said both drivers had on seat belts and alcohol use not was believed to be a factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate.
