Short-handed LSU football faces off against Kansas State in Texas Bowl: Live updates, score

LSU football's 2021 season will come to an end on Tuesday, as the Tigers will face off against Kansas State in the Texas Bowl. Follow along here for live updates, analysis and scores.

LSU (6-6) will reportedly be without a scholarship quarterback for the game, after sophomore Max Johnson transferred to Texas A&M, senior Myles Brennan saying he's not available and freshman Garrett Nussmeier was unwilling to burn his redshirt eligibility. They'll square off against Kansas State (7-5) on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT likely with Tavion Faulk or Matt O'Dowd at quarterback, both non-scholarship freshmen.

The Tigers defeated Texas A&M 27-24 in the final game of the regular season to reach bowl eligibility. Kansas State finished the year losing to Texas, 22-17.
