Short North adding new ceramics gallery from Joshua Schottenstein

The Short North is adding a ceramics gallery.

Adamah Ceramics will open March 2 at 641 N. High St. Joshua Schottenstein is moving his ceramics studio and shop there from a space at Open Air, a mixed-use complex in Old North Columbus that was once home to the Columbus Open Air School.

Hammond Harkins Galleries was in the Wood Cos.-owned space previously. That gallery closed in October.

“Adamah is the Hebrew word for ground or earth,” Schottenstein told me. “So everything in the gallery will be art from a clay medium, there is a theme in clay.”
