Shotko claims 5th annual Motor Mountain Masters at Jennerstown Speedway

JENNERSTOWN -- Coopersville Michigan's Evan Shotko earned the biggest victory of his career, the Crimson Jacket and the top prize of $10,000, winning the rain-shortened 5th Annual Aresenberger Trucking Motor Mountain Masters presented by Keen Parts at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday night.

Shotko started on the pole and had the dominant car throughout the race that was called on Lap 88 due to another batch of rain that rolled through.

The 19-year-old faced challenges from Albert Francis and Barry Awtey early on. However, Shotko held off both drivers along with a crop of talented men and women from across the country.

When the green flag flew on Lap 88, the skies opened up, leading to the race being halted. The drivers uncovered the cars one more time, but the rain picked up again, giving Shotko the victory.

Chris Davidson of Pearland, Texas had the fastest qualifying time for the late models.

The Modified and Pro Stock features scheduled for Saturday were also unable to be contested.
