Shots, blocks & boards: Vote for IHSAA girls basketball players of the week (Jan. 9-14)

IndyStar will be recognizing the top basketball players in Indiana with our players of the week poll.

Congratulations to Sheridan's Kenzie Garner on being voted Player of the Week for Jan. 2-7! Garner knocked in 10 field goals as part of a 22-point effort vs. Crawfordsville. She also collected 11 rebounds, four steals and four assists. The sophomore also added another double-double against Tri-Central (19 points, 11 rebounds).

Here are last week's top performers.

Ashlynn Brooke, Pioneer

The senior guard cleared 20 points for the third time in four games, collecting 25 in a four-point win over Maconaquah. She shot 7-for-13 from the field, and added nine rebounds, five assists and six steals with only two turnovers. Brooke is averaging 23 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals per game.

Addison Davis, Danville

The sophomore poured in 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting to lift Danville to a 71-65 win over Decatur Central. She also recorded 12 rebounds, two assists and a steal. She had eight points and four steals against North Montgomery.

Mya Davis, Heritage Christian

The junior totaled a team-high 26 points, 17 in the second half, to lift Heritage Christian to a 55-49 win over Cathedral in the City championship game. She had 19 points and six steals against Attucks in the quarterfinals and 14 points and four steals in the semifinals vs. Chatard.

Nevaeh Foster, Mishawaka Marian

Foster joined South Bend Washington alums Skylar Diggins and Mila Reynolds as the lone 2,000-point scorers in St. Joseph County history.

Gwen Higdon, Whiteland

Higdon scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting and pulled in five rebounds in a win over Perry Meridian. She filled out her line with two assists, two steals and a block. Higdon tallied 19 points and six boards against Southport.

Bailey Kelham, Garrett

The senior forward tallied 25 points on nine field goals (four 3-pointers) in a win over Fremont. She also recorded four steals, eight rebounds and an assist, and posted nine points in a loss to Fairfield. Kelham is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Railroaders.

Kayla Lacombe, Tech

Lacombe totaled 57 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block over two games in the City Tournament. Her efforts Monday against Herron (28 points, 12 rebounds, three assists) lifted the Titans to their first win at the event since 2020.

Reagan Martin, Owen Valley

Martin recorded 20 points and blocked six shots in a win over Clay City. She also tallied seven rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Julia Meyer, Jac-Cen-Del

Meyer filled the stat sheet with 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks in a 55-53 win over Lawrenceburg. She blocked five shots, piled up 19 points and pulled in six rebounds against Southwestern.

Campbell Moore, Harrison

The 6-1 senior went 8-for-9 from the field as part of a 20-point performance against Kokomo. She blocked five shots and pulled in eight rebounds in the win.

Emery Newlin, Monrovia

Newlin tallied nine steals and a couple blocks to go with 16 points in a 54-42 win over Edgewood.

Karsyn Norman, Bedford North Lawrence

The Butler commit erupted for a career-high 37 points in an 81-60 win over Columbus East. Norman hit 15-of-20 shots from the field, with seven 3-pointers on eight tries. She also dished out eight assists and picked up four steals.

Amiyah Reynolds, South Bend Washington

Reynolds scored a triple-double against Bremen last week, then nearly had a quadruple-double against South Bend Adams on Thursday, piling up 12 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists and nine steals. She also blocked four shots.

Camryn Runner, Hamilton Heights

Runner posted double-doubles in two of her three games last week, scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds vs. Greenwood and 24 points and 13 rebounds vs. Tipton. She also had 19 points and seven rebounds against Western.

Savannah Schafer, Brebeuf

The sophomore notched a double-double against Tri-West with 16 points and 14 rebounds. She also tallied three assists and a block.

Saige Stahl, Columbus East

An Indiana State commit, Stahl scored 29 points on 13-of-15 shooting against BNL (zero 3-pointers), and tallied nine rebounds, four steals and an assist. She's averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds per game. Stahl scored a career-high 37 points in Saturday's rout of New Albany (career win No. 300 for coach Danny Brown).

Bailey Tabeling, Trinity Lutheran

Tabeling reached 2,000 career points against Lanesville on Tuesday. She finished that game with 14 points, then tallied 26 at Brown County on Friday.

Madison Wagner, Carroll (Fort Wayne)

Wagner went 7-for-11 from the field for 19 points, and added 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks in a rout of McCutcheon.

Reagan Wilson, Noblesville

Wilson went for a career-high 37 points on 12-of-18 shooting to lift Noblesville to a 73-64 win over previously unbeaten Zionsville. The junior guard, who hit a critical 3-pointer late in the fourth, also tallied five steals and five assists.
