2nd arrest made in Broussard shooting

UPDATE, 2/22/24, 10:28 A.M.: Cody Joseph, 19 was arrested and booked on Wednesday on charges of assault by drive-by shooting.

ORIGINAL, 2/21/24, 10:28 A.M.: BROUSSARD, La. (KLFY) – A man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to shots being fired in Broussard in early February.

According to Broussard Police, officers were called to a residence located in the 100 block of Caneview Dr. on Feb. 6 regarding shots being fired.

Baldwin police arrest suspect connected to Feb. 13 shooting

An investigation revealed shots were fired from a vehicle, but no one was hit. The investigation also led officers to believe that the shooting stemmed from a previous fight between known individuals. Markius Carter, 19 was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of assault by drive by shooting. Carter was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
