Shots fired in East Lansing early Friday morning

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — East Lansing Police are investigating an early morning shooting.

Police say they were dispatched to a shooting situation on Lake Lansing Rd. near Abbott Rd. about 5:50 Friday morning. Official say a person in a burgundy four-door Buick or Chrysler-style sedan pulled up beside another car and fired one round striking the rear passenger door.

No one was injured in the incident and officials say they do not believe there is an immediate danger to the public.

The driver of the burgundy sedan drove off in an unknown direction.

Police say the driver of the car the allegedly fired the shot is described as a white male between the ages of 20-30 years old with blond hair, no facial hair and no glasses, wearing a gray and white shirt.
