Showers move out Sunday evening; drier week ahead

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- One last round of showers and storms this morning as our cold front finally makes a push through the southeast. Winds will pick up within the next few hours, gusting up to 20mph at times for your Sunday. Highs will struggle to warm out of the lower 60s this afternoon. Clouds will still hang around this evening before clearing tomorrow morning.

The start of the week will see temperatures quickly rebound, warming back into the 70s Monday afternoon. Winds will start to die down by Tuesday morning.

An area of high pressure starts to settle over the southeast by midweek. This will help temperatures to heat back up and keep skies clear for several days.

Clouds will start to build back in by next weekend as another system moves through the southeast. Readings reach into the mid to upper 80s by Saturday.
