Some Shreveport residents should expect low water pressure. Here's why

Some Shreveport residents may experience low water pressure starting today.

According to a press release from the Department of Water and Sewerage, due to "higher than normal demand on the City of Shreveport’s water system, coupled with maintenance at the Amiss Water Purification Plant," some customers may experience periods with water pressure lower than normal.

The department will announce when pressure is expected to return to normal.
