Shreveport Times Athlete of the Week 19 ballot features 12 area athletes
Voting is now open online for The Times High School Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Raising Cane’s, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports, which includes student-athletes in Louisiana high school sports other than football from 12 northwest Louisiana schools.
Fans of those students, their schools or their particular sport can vote at shreveporttimes.com under “sports” for their favorite. Voting will continue through Thursday night with the winner announced Friday.
Weekly winners will receive a backpack, a boxed lunch combo and some additional swag courtesy of Raising Cane’s, along with a short feature story on their accomplishments, courtesy of The Times.
Previous winners include North DeSoto's Chloe Phillips, Mansfield's Nick Bailey, Airline’s Logan Olsen, Byrd’s Andrew Stuart, Loyola’s Taylor Nash and Benton's Abby Schroeder.

On the Week 19 ballot for the 2020-21 school year are Mark De Leon, Caddo Magnet soccer; Jorge Alfaro, Bossier soccer; Rhyan Floyd, North DeSoto soccer; Erin Campbell, Loyola soccer; Chloe Larry, Parkway basketball; Quan Lilley, D’Arbonne Woods basketball; Kyron Reed, Captain Shreve basketball; Dakota Howard, Haughton basketball; D’Anthony Kimble, Homer basketball; LaBresha Lars, Airline bowling; Jeremia Yearby, Evangel wrestling and Autumn McNeal, Southwood powerlifting.
These athletes were chosen because of their performance last week or because their names were submitted by their coach.
YOU CAN VOTE HERE:
The High School Athlete of the Week includes athletes from all LHSAA-sanctioned sports other than football. In the fall, that includes volleyball, cross country, swimming and cheerleading.
