Shriners children's' hospital marks 100 years: Former patient, current employee shares her amputee story

Elena Evans was born was a rare congenital disability that resulted in her needing to have her legs amputated at four years old. She underwent the procedure, recovery, and rehabilitation at Shriners Hospital for Children, where she now works. Evans shared her story with FOX 9's Leah Beno as the nonprofit medical network marks 100 years of providing care to children regardless of their financial status.
