Shuttle buses to replace 1 Line between Rainier Beach, Tukwila Intl. Blvd. stations Sat-Wed
Sound Transit has announced that Link shuttle buses will replace the 1 Line between the Rainier Beach and Tukwila International Boulevard Stations from Saturday, Oct. 22, through Wednesday, Oct. 26, due to maintenance activity.
Sound Transit advises drivers to allow for at least 30 minutes of added travel time.
During this time, the 1 Line will operate every 10 minutes between Northgate and Rainier Beach and every 12 minutes between Angle Lake and Tukwila International Boulevard. Trains will run every 15 minutes before 6 a.m. and after 10 p.m., Sound Transit said.
Workers will be repairing and replacing the overhead wire system between the Rainier Beach and Tukwila International Boulevard stations. Sound Transit said some parking at the Tukwila station will be reserved for Link shuttle buses, so drivers who use that station may want to arrive early to secure a parking spot.
