New Siegel Indoor Soccer Complex unveiled at $13.5 million

The Siegel Indoor Soccer Complex officially kicked-off the opening of a new 110,000 square foot structure on Friday at Richard Siegel Park.

The new indoor soccer facility was part of a $13.5 million renovation in 2022 and 2023, which included the transition of eight fields to synthetic turf and lighting of an additional six fields as well as an added restroom pavilion, according to the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department.

Murfreesboro’s 137-acre, 21-field complex, located at 515 Cherry Lane, is a major soccer facility in the region, which has hosted local, state and national soccer events.

In 2019, the city of Murfreesboro entered into an agreement with the Tennessee State Soccer Association to relocate their headquarters to Murfreesboro.

"This facility allows us to continue to fulfill our mission to make Murfreesboro a destination for soccer development," Nate Williams Parks and Recreation director, said. "We are already seeing that come to fruition with the improvements we have done outside."

Williams added that multiple sporting events could be held under the new roof, inviting more tournaments and visitors to eat, shop, play and stay in Murfreesboro.
