Sierra Vista high school resumes classes after police receive threatening phone call

Buena High School in Sierra Vista was placed on lockdown and implemented a shelter-in-place order following a threat to the school.

At about 10:15 a.m. Monday, the Sierra Vista Police Department received a threatening phone call that began the lockdown at the school. The lockdown then shifted to a shelter-in-place order.

At about 11 a.m., Buena High was cleared of any threat and classes resumed as normal. The Sierra Vista Police Department said it would remain on the campus to finish its investigation.
