EPPING — Firearms manufacturer Sig Sauer is set to welcome over 1,000 guests from 39 states and three Canadian provinces this weekend to its new Experience Center.

Converging on the 140-acre campus, guests will learn best practices in safety and marksmanship from world-class competitors and gold medalists Max Michel, Lena Miculek and Daniel Horner, as well as Jerry Miculek, a five-time world-record speed shooter.

The purpose of the event is to connect with a broad base of people in an affirmative, can-do spirit of learning and improving in the sport while maintaining safety, company officials said.

The Sig Sauer Experience Center featuring the company's flagship retail showroom, state-of-the-art indoor shooting ranges, and a high-tech, interactive museum opened July 13, 2022.

“As a company we challenged ourselves to find a way to bring our brand right to the consumer outside of the typical trade-show and retail environment,” says Tom Taylor, chief marketing officer and executive vice president at Sig Sauer.

The result was the creation of SIG Freedom Days, which attracted 4,000 guests to the inaugural event in Phoenix, Arizona, this May. The local event, which is sold out this weekend, will lead to more events in Epping in the upcoming months, according to Samantha Piatt, director of media relations and communications for Sig Sauer.

Ticketholders for this weekend’s event will hear lectures and watch demonstrations by world-recognized marksmen:

Max Michel Jr. is a Guinness world record holder and International Practical Shooting Confederation world champion with seven world speed shooting championships. He is the captain of Team SIG and a recognized top tier athlete and instructor.

Lena Miculek is regarded as the top female 3-gun competitor in the world. She won her first World Champion title at age 17 at the IPSC and now holds 60 major wins and seven world titles in five shooting disciplines.

Daniel Horner is a world champion shooter with 125 championship titles at the world, national, regional and state level. He is one of the most decorated shooters on the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and twice selected as the Military Marksmanship Association Soldier of the Year.

Sig Sauer, with headquarters in Newington at Pease International Tradeport, employs over 2,900 people in 12 locations in three states and has offices and facilities in Epping, Exeter, Dover, Rochester and Newington.
