New Signs Pointing to the End of Tom Brady's Career in New England

The New England Patriots didn't cap off the year the way that they wanted to, suffering a wildcard playoff loss at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. With the premature exit from the postseason, the Patriots enter the offseason with a handful of large and looming question marks. While obtaining explosive playmakers is high up on the list, as the Patriots offense was often anemic throughout the season, it's not the biggest issue that could be at play with the organization.

Tom Brady, the organization's most celebrated quarterback in its illustrious history, is set to become a free agent this upcoming season, meaning he could sign with any team that he'd like. While it's hard to imagine Brady in a uniform for a team, other than the Patriots, it's beginning to become more plausible as the dust settles from the season. Since the loss in the playoffs, certain signs are pointing to an end for Brady in Foxborough.

Brady Suite at Gillette Stadium Thoroughly Cleaned Like Never Before

It's completely normal for NFL organizations to begin the deep cleaning process from a season full of packed stadiums. Seating needs to be cleaned and replaced, the turf must be groomed in anticipation of the next season, and the box suites must be detailed and rendered spotless. The New England Patriots have been following through with the Spring cleaning; however, there is something peculiar about what's been done, thus far, especially with Tom Brady's personal suite.

According to Greg Hill on his show, The Greg Hill Show, he provided some interesting information on what has been done to Brady's suite. The suite is usually reserved for his wife and international model, Gisele Bundchen, to watch the home games in Foxborough. Each offseason, it's tidied up, but not completely cleaned. Well, according to Hill, it has been cleaned out like never before, possibly foreshowing Brady's exit from the Patriots organization for good.

Tom Brady and Family Move from Massachusetts to Connecticut

"The Brady suite at Gillette Stadium where [Gisele Bundchen] has been known to watch her husband play football has been cleaned out," Hill said. "It would appear to be, by those who are in the know, that it has been cleaned out in way that perhaps it has never has been cleaned out before."

This move by the Patriots seems to indicate that the Bradys are no longer going to be present in Gillette Stadium where the team plays. And if that wasn't enough to send rumors flying, perhaps their decision to move will. Almost as if the two events were in coordination with one another, Brady and his family have sold their home in Brookline, Massachusetts and moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, providing yet another hint that Brady will be playing for another team at beginning of the season, later this fall.

Brady Not Focusing on Football Right Now, Family Time Supersedes

While there could be nothing noteworthy from these events, it's still something to watch. Brady has refused to comment on who he'll play for next season, although, he did state that he intends to play. The weeks following the Patriots' exit from the playoff have served as an opportunity for the quarterback to spend time with his family and loved ones.

"The contract things, a week after the season, I would say these things haven't even started to pick up. It's really not my concern at this point," Brady said during a recent interview on Westwood One. "It's been about decompressing and resting my mind a little bit and resting my body and spending time with the people who have supported me over the last six months.

What to Expect For Tom Brady and the 2020 Football Season

It would seem more likely that Brady would return to New England, as it's the only team that he has played for since being drafted in 2001. He also has a very close relationship with the Patriots' owner, Robert Kraft, and it's head coach and general manager, Bill Belichik. Still, the lack of playmakers around him during this past season might have made the decision to play elsewhere, a little easier. Unfortunately, we'll most likely have to wait till at least after the NFL Draft later this spring before we know for sure who Brady will be playing for during the 2020 season.
