Missing Green Bay man found safe, police say

UPDATE - A missing 75-year-old Green Bay man has been found, Green Bay police said Monday afternoon.

Thomas Van Lanen was found in a field near the west-side Fleet Farm. He is being treated for nonlife-threatening infjuires and will be reunited with his family, police said.

GREEN BAY - Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing 75-year-old man from Green Bay.

Thomas Van Lanen was last seen walking outside his residence near St. Mary's Hospital at 5:30 a.m. Monday. He has a condition similar to dementia, the Green Bay Police Department said.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket; red, white and blue pajama pants; white tennis shoes; anbd possibly a camo baseball cap. He's also been known to walk the trails on Green Bay's west side.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Silver Alert program lists Van Lanen as 5-foot-10, 175 pounds with brown eyes and gray hour. He has shin problems and walks with a walker.

Police are asking residents who spot VanLanen to call 920-448-3208.
