Simon Cowell Is 'Psychologically Damaged' Following Break In

Simon Cowell has opened up about the burglary that happened at his home on December 4th, admitting that the break in has left him with “psychological damage”.

The 56-year-old was asleep in the bedroom of his £35million mansion with his partner, Lauren Silverman, and their 21-month-old son, Eric, when the robbers raided his home - and now Si wants to have a little chat with the people behind the attack.

He explained: “One hundred per cent I’d like to meet the guy. If we found him I’d want to have a conversation with him. I don’t want to say too much right now because I am angry.

"As a dad you have to realise the psychological damage it does having someone you don’t know in your home three feet away from your little boy.

"What would have happened if he had woken up? I don’t want to feel too much like a victim here because this happens to thousands of people every bloody day.

"I have three dogs and they didn’t make a sound. They’re usually always barking but they chose not to at that time. Now I have dogs that bark.”

And it isn’t just Simon who has upped the security at his home following the raid, with fellow X Factor judge, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini also revealing that she’s taken extra precautions.

She told The Mirror: “I had a serious security system before but I have laser beams now so they have no need coming to mine. I had them installed after hearing what happened to Simon.

"It really is serious, I’m not taking any chances.

"Even when I am not in the house I have people in there sometimes. I also have chihuahuas who bark a lot, they sound a lot bigger than they are.”

And with Rita Ora also reportedly falling victim to a break in last week, we think that it’s worth taking every precaution that the judges can.
