The U.S. Open is ready to hold serve. While we will be captivated by every move Serena Williams makes in the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, NY, we’re also attuned to those of you who’d rather be perfecting your kick serve in your own backyard.

So we thought we’d serve up a few of the most over-the-top tennis courts on the market, just in time for the frantic early days of the Open. Come on!

Admittedly, tennis courts do come across as a bit of a throwback amenity—backyard space is always an issue. But the search for the perfect court shines a light on a few eye-popping properties. We can all dream of ruling our very own court without setting foot outside the property line, can’t we?

And no surprise, many of the estates we found come with some old-world history, from a gated compound near Palm Beach, to a crown jewel estate on Sunset Boulevard, and a natty estate in Nantucket.

Grab your tennis whites and check out the top courts on the market. Try to keep the racket slamming to a minimum.
