The Simpsons-themed pop-up bar opens Friday in NE Ohio

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — Get ready Simpsons fans, your chance to grab a drink at Moe’s is here.

Moe’s Springfield is set to open on Friday, Jan.19 for a 10-day window ending on Jan. 28, 2024.

Cleveland road crews readying for winter blast

The Simpsons-themed pop-up bar is operated by JMC Pop-Ups. Partner Sam Shutter said Simpsons fans will love this new attraction.

“We know the Simpsons has been on for a very long time, 35 years,” she said. “So, it has a lot of fans from multiple generations.”

Shutter will be dressed as Marge and many other characters will be present at the pop-up, and patrons are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character.

“We’re just very excited to bring this experience to the Akron area,” Shutter said. “Akron has been very excited about us coming, so we’ve had an overwhelming response.”

Winter weather types explained by donut definitions

Patrons can order from a full menu of food items and also can order drinks made famous by the show like the Flaming Moe, Duff Beer or even a Squishy. Guests can also check out numerous props from the show including Spider-Pig, Moe’s Office and even the Love Tester.

Tickets will move fast.

“We have many times that are sold out right now,” Shutter said. “So, we sell tickets by the half hour to make sure everyone gets a full experience here. They can take lots of photos and really get to do everything they want to do. So, we do limit it per half hour by ticket and we are sold out for a lot of time.”

There is also a lot of merchandise, from Funko Pops to T-shirts for purchase. Shutter said this is a must-visit location for every Simpsons fan.

“It’s a must-do because you get to experience the dank of Moe’s Tavern, so it’s a must-do for any Simpsons fan,” Shutter said.
