The Sims 4 is making the game franchise’s most inclusive update yet!

Mashable reports that the popular game has added several new features to make its characters more inclusive and representative of the world around us. The free update to the game includes the ability to add binders, top surgery scars, shapewear and medical devices to characters, making the game finally reflect its transgender and disabled players.

These additions allow transgender players to create characters that better reflect their life experiences since transgender men utilize top surgery to remove their breasts, and various garments, like binders and shapewear, can help transgender people lessen the effects of gender dysphoria.

Previous updates to The Sims have allowed characters of all genders to have masculine and feminine traits and choose pronouns and sexual orientations. The game’s latest update also added new choices of medical devices, including glucose monitors and hearing aids. With it catering to transgender and disabled players, the game has gone its furthest yet to include as many of its fans as possible.

Twitter user make_it_sizzle commented, “Finally able to give our transmasculine and nonbinary Sims top surgery scars. I love the realism. @TheSims, you have no idea how many people you just helped by being able to see themselves in this game. Imagine all the in the closet trans kids who see this update.”
